A bamboo. It grows 6 m tall. The culms are 1.5 cm across. The internodes are 25-35 cm long. There are 5-10 branches at each node. There are 1-3 leaves at the last branch. The leaf blade is 5-9 cm long by 4-6 mm wide.
Edible Uses
The shoots are eaten.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant. It grows in Xijang (Tibet) in China between 2,500-3,000 m altitude.
