Description
An evergreen twiner. It grows 4 m tall. The leaves are dark green. They are compound with up to 9 leaflets. The flowers are purple and white. The male flowers are in drooping spikes. Female flowers occur singly. The fruit are dark purple and sausage shaped. They are edible.

The dark purple fruit are edible.
