Description

A shrub that loses its leaves. The leaves are oval or sword shaped and have pale hairs underneath. The flowers are pale yellow with a pinkish tinge. They are produced in the axils of leaves. The fruit are red or purplish black.

Edible Uses

The fruit are edible.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in the Himalayas between 2,100-3,900 m above sea level.
