Description

A shrub or small tree. They have prop roots. The fruit are green fleshy capsules that have an orange layer around the seeds when ripe. Possibly now Chrysochlamys sp. There are 2 Tovomitopsis species.

The acidic fruit are eaten with salt or sugar as a flavoring.
