Description
A tropical tree in the Myrtaceae (myrtle) family native to the coastal mountains of Venezuela. The species is endangered.

Edible Uses
Fruit. Fleshy. The dull yellow, depressed-subglobose fruit is up to 20mm long and 25 - 35cm (occasionally to 50mm) in diameter, containing a single seed.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the coastal mountains of Venezuela.
