Description
A shrub or small tree. It grows to 7 m tall. The fruit are white. They are round to oval. They can be 3 cm long and wide. There is one flat, light green seed.
Edible Uses
The fruit are eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It is usually below 500 m but can grow up to 1,500 m above sea level. It grows in the higher parts of the floodplains. It can tolerate shade.

Amazon, Bolivia*, Ecuador*, Peru*, South America,
Production
Plants start producing when they are 30 cm tall. Fruit occur in the rainy season.
