Description
A shrub or small tree. It grows up to 6 m high. The leaves are narrowly oval and 4-12 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. The fruit are 1-2 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.
Edible Uses
Fruit - raw. The pulp is eaten. Delicious. The globose to ellipsoid fruit is 15 - 20mm long and 10 - 20mm in diameter, composed of around 15 - 20 carpels each containing a sed around 7 - 9mm long and 5 - 6mm wide.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant.

The plant succeeds in wet soils.
