A tree. It grows 26 m tall. The flowers are white. The fruit are round and red. They are 4 cm across.

Edible Uses
Fruit raw. A dark red fruit with brown seeds, when fully ripe it is very sweet with a pleasant taste. Unripe fruits are astringent. An orange pulp. The red to purple, globose to broadly ellipsoid fruit is around 30 - 60mm long and 20 - 40mm in diameter.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant.
