Description

A tropical rattan palm (family Arecaceae) native to evergreen forests of Laos, growing at 500-1,000 m altitude. It has 6-7 leaflets on each side of the leaf stalk.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in evergreen forest between 500-1,000 m altitude in Laos.

Synonyms

It may be a small form of Korthalsia laciniosa
