Description

A scrambling shrub. It grows about 1-3 m tall. It has trailing woody stems with leafy branches. The stems have 4 angles. The leaves are oval and 2-10 cm long by 1-5 cm wide. The base is heart shaped.

Edible Uses

The leaves are edible.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows on dry hill slopes. It grows in woodland near rivers and on termite mounds. It grows between 700-1,700 m above sea level.
