Description
A shrub or small tree. It grows up to 6 m high and spreads 2-4 m across. The leaves are 6-19 cm long and 5-12 cm wide. They are thin and sword shaped. The flowers occur in loose heads in the axils of leaves. The flowers are 0.5 cm across. They are white. The fruit are 14 mm across. They occur in bunches. They can be in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. There is one seed inside. The flesh is edible. The fruit are black when mature.

Distribution
A tropical plant. It suits tropical and subtropical locations. It grows naturally in rainforest in Queensland in Australia. It grows from sea level to 1200 m altitude.
