A small tree reaching 9 m high with characteristic arching branches, belonging to the Rubiaceae family. It is a tropical plant native to West African mountain forests, recorded at elevations up to 1,500 m in Nigeria.
Edible Uses
The leaves and fruit are eaten.
Distribution
A tropical plant. It grows in mountain forest in West Africa. In Nigeria it has been recorded at 1,500 m above sea level.
