Description
An erect shrub. It is robust and grows 65 cm tall. It has a woody rootstock. The stems can be somewhat woody and have a few hairs. The leaves are simple and opposite. They are oval and have short stalks. They are dark green above and light green underneath. The flowers are in 3-flowered groups in the axils of the lower leaves. The flowers are tube shaped and 4 mm long. The fruit is round and feshy. There is a calyx at the top. There are 2-3 seeds.
