Edible Uses
We have no reports on the edibility of this species, though if the fruit has a fleshy pulp then that will be edible. The brown, ellipsoid to globose fruit is 30 - 45mm in diameter, comprising 25 - 60 fertile carpels each 10 - 17mm long and 2 - 12mm in diameter.
Medicinal Uses
An infusion of the bark is used as an ointment to relieve muscular pains.

It is a tropical plant.
