Description
A medium sized tree. The bark is red. It produces a sweet transparent exudate. The leaves have 7-9 pairs of leaflets. The flowers are in small dense clusters in the axils of leaves. The fruit is a purple capsule. It is browen open and the sour fruit pulp is eaten.
Edible Uses
The sour fruit pulp is eaten when the capsule opens, and the fleshy layer around the seeds is also eaten.
