Isolona congolana is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family. It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. It has also recently been found in southern Africa.

Description

A small tree. It can grow 10-30 m tall. The trunk is 25-45 cm across. The leaves are broadly oval to sword shaped and 5-30 cm long by 1.5-7 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The bark is eaten.

Medicinal Uses

The bark is used medicinally.

The crushed seeds have been used as a soap. The rather soft wood is used for joinery.
