Description

A shrub or small tree. It grows 2-4 m tall. The branches have furrows along them. The leaves are 4-6 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The flowers occur singly in the axils of leaves. The fruit are 10 mm long by 8 mm wide. They are oval and red.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
