Other Uses
The heartwood is medium greyish brown; the sapwood pale yellow with greyish streaks and turning to pale yellowish brown upon exposure. The wood is straight or fairly straight-grained; fine-textured; growth rings are present; it has no distinctive odour, but is slightly astringent to taste. It is heavy, hard, and compact; probably durable; takes a smooth, but rather dull finish.
