Description

A small tree. The leaves are almost opposite and leathery. They are 32 cm long by 10 cm wide. There are 7-9 pairs of side veins. The fruit are oval and have a point. They are 4.5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide. They are reddish-orange and have dense orange hairs.

Edible Uses

The fruits are eaten and are reasonably commonly consumed in Liberia.

It is a tropical plant.

In Liberia the fruit are produced from November to April.
