Rosenbergiodendron longiflorum is a flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is native to tropical South America.

Description

An evergreen shrub. It grows 4 m tall. The fruit are oval berries 5-14 cm by 2-2.5 cm. They are light yellow with a dark yellow stripe. There are weak ribs along the fruit. The seeds are in 3 rows.

Edible Uses

Fruit - raw. The cylindrical berry is light yellow with dark yellow stripes when ripe, 5 - 14cm (should this be mm?) long by 2 - 2.5cm wide.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests along rivers. It grows at low elevations in the tropics. It grows in forests along creeks and in marsh forests. In Cairns Botanical Gardens.
