Description

A herb or small shrub. It grows 50 cm tall. The stems are erect and angled. They have short hairs. The leaves have 3 leaflets and the end one is 2-4 cm long by 2-4 mm wide. The flowers are in groups of 3-5 in the axils of the leaves. They are white or yellow. The pods are oval and 3 cm long.

Edible Uses

The leaves are eaten.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows on mountain slopes in northern China below 1,400 m above sea level.
