Description
A fig. It is a shrub or small tree. It grows 7 m tall. The twigs have white hairs. The stipules are 3-7 cm long. The young leaves are pink. The leaves are 15-50 cm long by 6-15 cm wide. They are unequal at the bottom. They are heart shaped on the broad side. The fruit develop on 10 cm long runners that develop from the base of the trunk and form roots. They are 4-5 cm across.
Edible Uses
The fruit is edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in Sabah in Borneo. It grows up to 2,000 m above sea level.
