Garcinia Maingayi is a species of flowering plant in the family Clusiaceae. It is a tree found in Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo.

Description

A tree. It grows 20 m tall. The trunk is 15 cm across. It has yellow sap. It has prop roots 1.2 m tall. The bark is brown and rough and flaky. The flowers are greenish yellow. The fruit are dark green and has ridges. It turns brown when ripe.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in Sabah in Borneo. It grows up to 1,800 m above sea level.
