Description

A tree or a climber. It grows 10 m tall. The branches have scattered prickles. The leaves are simple and have 3 lobes. They are 14-35 cm long by 17-25 cm wide. The lobes are oval and narrow towards the base. They have hairs underneath. There are teeth along the edge. The flowers are in groups at the ends of the branches. The fruit is round and lightly flattened and 4-8 mm across.

Edible Uses

Young flowers are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests on mountain slopes between 600-2,500 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
