Description
A yam. It grows 6 m tall as a climber. The stems twine to the right. The leaves are simple and opposite. The leaf blade is narrowly sword shaped and shallowly heart shaped at the base.
Edible Uses
The tubers and roots are edible and represent an important food source in Peninsula Thailand.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows on limestone from sea level to 200 m above sea level.
