Description
A herb that grows in water and forms tubers. It keeps growing from year to year. The tubers are 1-3 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The leaves can be floating or under the water. The leaves that float are oval and those under the water are narrow. The flowers are yellow. The seeds are oval.
Edible Uses
The tubers and roots are edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in freshwater ponds and rivers and streams.
