A small tree. The leaves are fleshy and have dots that let the light through. The flowers are small and white and in red flowering groups. These are in the axils of leaves. The fruit is small and red. They turn purple-black as they ripen.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in secondary forest.
