Description
A shrub. It tends to life over. It grows 4 m high. The leaves are leathery and broadly oval. They are 10 cm long by 5 cm wide. The edges have rounded teeth. The leaves re shiny above and rough or scaly underneath. The flowers are in small groups and are white. The fruit are 1.3 cm across and have 3-4 lobes. They are red and fleshy.
Edible Uses
The red, fleshy fruits are edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the lowlands and the highlands.

Africa, East Africa, Kenya, Tanzania,

These were in the families Sparrmanniaceae and the Tiliaceae.
