Leonardoxa africana is a tropical tree endemic to west-central Africa and southeastern Nigeria. It is divided into four sub-species, of which three are myrmecophytes.

Description

A shrub or small tree. It grows 10 m high. The trunk is straight and 30 cm around.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows as an under-storey tree of the evergreen rain-forest in West Africa.
