Description
A climbing shrub. There are many flowers. They are 15 mm long and greenish-white with a yellow throat. These are at the ends of branches.

The leaves are eaten. The leaves of species in this genus usually have a bitter flavour and are eaten more for their beneficial effect upon the digestive system than for their flavour.

The leaves are used traditionally to help with diabetes and hypertension.

Distribution
It is a tropical plant It grows in deciduous forest and in secondary jungle. It is recorded at 1,400 m above sea level in Nigeria.
