Description

A climbing herb that keeps growing from year to year. It grows 1-2 m tall. It produces root tubers. The stem and branches are angled. The flattened stems are in groups of 3 and narrow.

Edible Uses

The root tubers are eaten.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in moist shady places.
