Description

A bamboo. It grows 4-8 m tall. The culms are 1-3 cm across. The internodes are 20-25 cm long. There are 8-11 branches at each node. There are 2 -5 leaves at the last branch. The leaf blade is 13-18 cm long by 13-23 mm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in Yunnan in China between 2,400-3,100 m altitude.
