Red Baneberry: Short herbaceous plant (no thorns), berries on thick red stems, each berry has a single seed, compound sharply-toothed leaves.
Rubus compactus: Thorny woody canes (brambles), aggregate berry made of many drupelets, berries pull easily from receptacle.
