Description
A herb. It has robust stems and grows 90 cm tall. The leaves on the stems are few and have small scale-like hairs. The leaves near the base are broadly oval and 5-25 cm long by 0.8-5 cm wide. There are many flower heads and these are 8-10 mm across. They contain about 10 flowers. They are yellow.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. In Taiwan it grows from sea level to 2,300 m altitude. It grows along rivers and on gravelly limestone.
