Description

A stem hemiparasite mistletoe native to New Zealand and the Norfolk Islands, living on the limbs of host trees and shrubs. Also known by its Māori name Pirita, it is one of six endemic Loranthaceae species in New Zealand.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.
