Description
A fig. It is an evergreen climber. It becomes tree like. The leaves are leathery and oblong. They are 6-13 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The tip is pointed. The base is rounded. There are no hairs on either side. The leaf stalks are hairy. They are 1-2.5 cm long. Male and female flowers are on separate plants. They are very small. The fruit is 1 cm long and edible.
Edible Uses
The small fruits are eaten fresh.
Distribution
It is a warm temperate plants. It grows in forests and woodlands. In southern China it grows between 600-1,200 m above sea level.
