A tropical tree in the Malvaceae family (also placed in Bombacaceae), belonging to the subfamily Bombacoideae. It is one of approximately 8-20 Bombax species.

Edible Uses

Both the leaves and seeds are eaten.

Distribution

A tropical plant.

Asia, SE Asia,

Notes

There are about 8-20 Bombax species. Also put in the family Bombacaceae. In the subfamily Bombacoideae. Not in The Plant List.
