Description

A ginger family herb (Zingiberaceae) found in tropical regions, cultivated for its fruit.

Edible Uses

Fruit - edible. A sweet flavour. The ellipsoid to globose, orange fruit is 15 - 40mm long and 13 - 30mm wide, containing 50 - 200 seeds.
