Description
A shrub or small tree. It grows 12 m tall. The trunk is 30 cm across. The leaves are alternate and 70 cm long. There are 6-14 pairs of leaflets. They are oval and 4-17 cm long by 3-7 cm wide. They taper to the tip. Male and female flowers are separate. The flowers are in panicles in the axils of leaves near the ends of branches. These are 50 cm long. The fruit is fleshy and oblong. It is 7-13 mm long by 6-8 mm wide. They are red or purple. The seeds are narrowly oval.
