Description
An evergreen bushy shrub. It grows 0.9 m high and spreads 0.9 m wide. The stems are golden. The leaves are oval and bright green. They have wavy edges. There is a network of yellow lines on the leaf. The flowers are white and tube shaped. They have red marks in the throat. They are at the ends of the branches. A cultivar called 'eldorado' is sold commercially. Now Pseuderanthemum carruthersii
Edible Uses
The leaves are edible.
Distribution
A tropical plant. In the Cairns Botanical Gardens. It suits hardiness zones 11-12.
