Description

A woody vine. The young branches have a grey covering. The leaf stalks are swollen at both ends. Plants are separately male and female.

The fruit is eaten, and leaves are used as flavouring.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in primary rainforest at low altitude.
