Description

An erect shrub. The branches have short grey hairs. Leaves have 3 leaflets. They are green and shiny above and have grey hairs underneath. The flowers are in dense groups at the ends of the branches. The fruit are brown downy pods.

Edible Uses

Root. It is combined with the seeds of Eleusine coracana and used in brewing of a kind of beer called 'Oála'.

A tropical plant.
