Description

A herb or small shrub. The leaves are oval to sword shaped and 6-13 cm long by 1.5-6.5 cm wide. They are dark green on the top surface. The flowers are in spikes 4-9 cm long.

Edible Uses

The leaves and plant are used as a vegetable.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant.
