Description

A herb. It branches at the base and can form roots at the nodes. The leaves are opposite and round or oval. The edges are indented. The flowering shoots are in the axils of leaves. The flowers are small. The fruit are cone shaped capsules 9 mm long. The seeds are yellow or brown.

Medicinal Uses

Used medicinally.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in marshy places.
