Description

A herb. It has a long taproot. This produces several trailing stems. These are trailing and can be 3 m long. They are often reddish. The plant can be hairy. The leaves are opposite and broadly oval. They are 5 cm long by 4.5 cm wide. They are dark green above and white to grey underneath.

Edible Uses

The leaves are eaten as a vegetable.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant.
