Melhania forbesii is a plant in the mallow family Malvaceae, native to southern Africa. It is named for the English naturalist and plant collector John Forbes.

Description

A small shrub. It grows 60 cm tall. The stem is branched. The leaves are 11 cm long and have a coating. There are usually 3 flowers in a group. They have yellow petals.

Used medicinally.

Distribution

It is a tropical and subtropical plant.
