Cyperus mitis is a species of sedge that is native to Asia between India in the west to China in the east. The species was first formally described by the botanist Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel in 1855.

Description

A sedge. It has a creeping rhizome or underground stem. This can have tubers. The stems or culms are single and 40-50 cm tall. They are 3 sided. THey have 1 or 2 leaves. The leaves are 1-1.5 mm wide.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. In Yunnan in China it grows between 700-800 m above sea level.
