Horsfieldia palauensis is a species of plant in the family Myristicaceae. It is endemic to Palau.

Description

A tree. It grows 13 m tall. The trunk is 9-44 cm across. The leaves are simple and alternate. They are 10-35 cm long and 5-9 cm wide. The tip is curved. The leaf stalk is 1-2 cm long. The flowers are yellow and in a small group near the axil of the leaf. The fruit are narrowly oval and 3 cm long. There is one seed with a red seed coat around it. Then there is a thick outer coat around it.

Edible Uses

The seeds are edible.

It is a tropical plant.
