A shrub. It loses its leaves during the year. The leaves have 7-11 leaflets along the stalk. They are usually oblong. There are teeth towards the tip. They are usually very hairy underneath and with small yellow glands. The flowers are white and in compound groups near the ends of branches. The fruit are round or oval and dull red.
Edible Uses
The fruit is eaten.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant. In the Himalayas it grows in open places between 2,700-3,800 m above sea level.
