Alpinia beamanii is a monocotyledonous plant species described by Rosemary Margaret Smith. Alpinia beamanii is part of the genus Alpinia and the family Zingiberaceae.

Description

A ginger family herb. It grows in clumps. The leaves are broad and over 2 m long. The flowering shoot has many small flowers at the end. The fruit are green and ripen to black.

Edible Uses

The ripened fruit are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
